Same-Day vs Next-Day Flower Delivery in Dubai/UAE — What's the Difference?
Same-Day vs Next-Day Flower Delivery in Dubai/UAE — What's the Difference?
Whether your flowers arrive today or tomorrow depends on two simple things: which emirate they're going to, and what time you place the order. Here's exactly how the rule works.
The Rule, Emirate by Emirate
| Emirate | Delivery Type | Cutoff Time |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai | Same Day | 8PM |
| Sharjah | Same Day | 8PM |
| Ajman | Same Day | 8PM |
| Ras Al Khaimah | Next Day | — |
| Abu Dhabi | Next Day | — |
| Fujairah | Next Day | — |
| Umm Al Quwain | Next Day | — |
Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman are close enough to our Deira facility that we can hand-arrange and deliver within the same day. Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain are further out, so those orders are delivered the following day as standard.
What "Same-Day" Actually Means
Same-day delivery means the bouquet is arranged and delivered within the hours remaining in that day, not within a fixed number of hours from your order. Place the order at 9AM and it can go out any time that day; place it at 7:45PM and it still qualifies, but the window to deliver it is much tighter. If timing matters — a lunch surprise, an evening event — order earlier in the day rather than right up against the cutoff.
What Happens If You Order After 8PM
Nothing goes wrong — the order simply moves to next-day delivery instead of same-day, even for Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. You'll still get an order confirmation right away, and you can choose your preferred delivery date at checkout if you'd rather schedule it for a specific day ahead of time, such as a birthday later in the week.
Choosing a Time Slot
For same-day and next-day orders alike, checkout lets you pick a preferred delivery window — typically a morning slot (9AM–2PM) or an evening slot (3PM–9PM). We do our best to hit the slot you choose, though exact arrival within that window can vary with traffic and the number of deliveries that day.
Which Should You Choose?
- Choose same-day when the recipient is in Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman and you're ordering before 8PM — there's no real downside to same-day when it's available.
- Plan for next-day automatically if the recipient is in Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah or Umm Al Quwain, or if you're placing the order late at night.
- Schedule ahead for known dates like birthdays or anniversaries — picking a future delivery date at checkout removes any risk around cutoffs entirely.
During Peak Occasions
Around Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Eid Al Fitr, delivery slots across all emirates fill up faster than usual. The same-day/next-day rule still applies, but to guarantee a specific time on these dates, it's worth placing your order 24–48 hours ahead rather than relying on the same-day cutoff.
